The physical chemistry division has programs in experimental and theoretical chemistry. Current research includes ab initio quantum-chemical calculations pursued on UB's supercomputers, sophisticated approaches to study crystal growth and biomaterialization, and cutting-edge multiple-photon laser spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction techniques.
